CHAPTER 4

THE NEW METHOD, “BEING”...ITS MANIFESTATION

“We are a spirit.  We live in a body and express this spirit through a soul.”

We read Paul’s statement of buffeting his body least he be its slave.  I Cor. 9:27... “But (like a boxer) I Buffet my body, (handle it roughly, discipline it by hardships) and subdue it, for fear that after proclaiming to others the Gospel and things pertaining to it, I myself should become unfit (not stand the test, be unapproved and rejected as a counterfeit.) Amplified Version.

Why would he do such a thing?  Was he advocating sadistic behavior?  Well we know this isn’t the case because later he writes against severe treatment of the body.  FOCUS on the highlighted portions of Col. 2:20-23:

“If then you have died with Christ to material ways of looking at things and have escaped from the world’s crude and elemental notions and teachings of externalism, why do you live as if you still belong to the world?  (Why do you submit to rules and regulations? - such as) Do not handle (this).  Do not even touch (them); referring to things all of which perish with being used.  To do this is to follow human precepts and doctrines.  Such (practices) have indeed the outward appearance (that popularly passes) for wisdom, in promoting self-imposed rigor of devotion and delight in self-humiliation and severity of discipline of the body, but they are of no value in checking the indulgence of the flesh (the lower nature). (Instead, they do not honor God but serve only to indulge the flesh.) Amplified Version

Paul saw this focusing on the body and its desires as a distraction.  He is implying, in his I Cor. 9:27 statement that he would not let his body desires distract him from a higher calling.  Going on after the above Col. 2:20-23 comments, in Col. 3:1- you see what I mean....

“If then you have been raised up with Christ (to a New Life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead), aim at and seek the (rich, eternal treasures) that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.  And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.”

 

(Note, many so-called good causes, methods would constitute a distraction from these higher things Paul was reaching for.  Consult the Lord before joining or entertaining many of these today.  See my summation comments at the end of this chapter.)   

So, what have I said so far beyond just the reading of religious texts which I do for the sake of some; because you always get this, “Where is that in the Bible?”  Well, you have the opening texts.  There it is in the Bible.  I gave this first so that now I can give the Living expression of the above.

INSIGHTS THAT MATTER

We are a spirit which came into a body.  We were to express, as a spirit through our souls who we were.  The Soul which makes up our intellect, emotions and will, was to be only a MODE of expression of who we already were and it wasn’t meant to be used to get us to TRY TO BE SOMEONE.   The human body would only be a carnal expression in a material world, of a spiritual reality. (Reflect on this)

You see this in Geneses where God breaths in the nostril of man, and man became a living soul.  Better put, this BECOMING was only a MODE of expressing who we already were, “Beings of God made in that image, having intellect, emotion and will, Male/Female in one being, at first, capable of expressing both, just as God expresses Male/Female, the female being what is called Sophia....wisdom.  Adam chose to split this expression, thus Eve, with God’s approval.  I will say more to this at a later time.  What follows will suffice for now. (Just remember, Adam was both Male/Female when first created). 

What happens is that this MODE of expression, cut off from God, gets heavily run by the body.  You can see why Paul used harsh comments concerning the body.  Body senses focus heavily on the seen, whereas the spirit the unseen.  The soul’s will is in such a position that it must choose between the intellectual and emotional input received by the body or from the spiritual senses of reality.  Thus it had the freedom to choose what it would consider priority, either what the body senses picked up or the spirit senses picked up.  For example, those before the Biblical Flood chose not to retain God in their minds, the spiritual, but instead chose the lower carnal body senses with devastating effects.  Paul said, “That the eye, in this body experience, fails to see what the original spiritual intent was, as well as the ear, it can’t hear it nor will it desire to hear it being distracted by what it hears and the eye by what it sees.”  The original expression had intended to be via a MALE/FEMALE being (singular).   The split later did not limit this, or, it didn’t have to limit this expression.  It could have been accomplished via MARRIAGE, a helpmate created at his side, each taking their role, each assisting the other.  You can see the reason behind the vicious attack on marriage and those seeking to distort it today.  It was supposed to be a means given by God to express what we call “Unity in diversity”, diverse beings, Male, Female, expressed as ONE linked to GOD WHO IS THE ORIGINAL EXPRESSION OF UNITY IN DIVERSITY...Father, Son, Spirit as ONE.   Throw out the diversity of God’s nature (the Trinity) and you throw out this supreme model or MODE of Expression and everything falls apart divided with nothing offered in the flesh to bring it together.  Observe the world and its efforts to bring unity and its failure to accomplish this and you’ll see what I mean.  Without God this true UNITY IN DIVERSITY will never be accomplished.  There is coming one who will attempt unity apart from God.  This one (evil one) will use FORCE.  Doing a search on this matter of what is called Transhumanism or Para-human, you will see where science today, turning away from what God has clearly offered and I am attempt to bring out in this book, you see science attempting to mimic what God had done.  They cross lines established by God, lines He placed there not because He hates us, but loves us and knows the consequences of Tran-genetics.  If only they would reconsider what it is that God has offered, beyond some limited religious view of it all, they might discover that what they have available to them, things which get labeled “miraculous,”  are in truth those things God had restored though the 2^nd Adam, Jesus Christ.

Added thoughts:

Adam and Eve became one flesh.  Flesh meaning a carnal perspective of their existence.  Even though split into male/female, if one of them, either male or female, would listen to God, or get back into the original intention or purposes of God, they and their children would be blessed.  (See Paul’s remarks in I Cor. 7:14) “For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife; and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.”  Remember, he was trying to reveal spiritual truth, but the Corinthian’s carnal mind was hung-up with the Male verses Female problem of their day, thus they could not see it.

You can do all the studying you want on the differences between Male and Female, but if you miss what God intended, you will end up in either male dominance or rebellious females, or women loving women, men loving men, the book of Romans clearly reveals this.  This is holding the truth down in unrighteousness; other words, not hearing from God on the matter.  Paul later to the Colossians reveals what was the original intent:

Col.  3:10- 11   “And have put on the new man, (should be “Being”, not meaning male or female) which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created him; (God is both male and female) Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free; but Christ is all, and in all.”

In the science of Transhumanism they are seeking to mimic this calling it “Post-Genderism,” taking the good genes of both a male and female individual splicing them into one NEW BEING.  What they will produce will be nothing like what God is doing.  With this science now moving faster than ever before, I believe we will soon see the results of such a MAN-MADE union. 

Paul explains further in Galatians 3:38

“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

Note also that in the above I Cor. 7 text Paul starts to share this to these carnal minded Corinthians. I Cor. 7:18-  “Is any man called being circumcised?  Let him not become uncircumcised.  Is any called in uncircumcision?  Let him not be circumcised.  Circumcision is NOTHING, and uncircumcision is NOTHING, but the keeping of the commandments of God. (not meaning the Ten Commandments but hearing God daily)  Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.  Are you called being a servant?  Care not for it.  But if you may be made free, use it rather.  For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant is the Lord’s freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ’s servant.  You are bought with a price; be not the servants of men.”

Again, you read daily in the news and science journals things never heard of before with the use of Transhumanism; which now have change legislation to gain greater financial support for the Utopian Humanistic desires of Corporate and Military interests to product the super-man and super-solider.   The above Biblical texts appear as outdated and disconnect to what is going on in our current world; are you sure?  Let’s put this in context of today;  “As you came from your natural parents, don’t seek to change this using technology that seeks to play God and think to undo what is clearly there, with methods developed total outside any idea of what God has written.   Paul was a man before his time; notice in his use of circumcision he is definitely not only talking about a surgical procedure performed by the Jewish religion of that day on a male child after the eight day; you see it when he says, “Is any man called being circumcised?  Let him not become uncircumcised.”  It would be a statement of nonsense to think you could “undo” a physical operation of circumcision.  So, what was he implying?  It comes out in the “reason” this practice was even introduced by God through Abraham to the Jewish people. It was a “Cutting Off” from the world around them and their opinion and ideologies created totally independent from God.  Those traits coming from “the world, the flesh and the devil” as scripture calls it; as good as some of these traits may have appeared, each time the Jewish people made deals with them, it had horrible consequences, physically, mentally and spiritually.  As good as those of Transhumanism might appear; as good as their intentions might appear, the history of this growing science reveals that it has “left” God out of their science, and any science that thinks to leave God out of its experiments, will and “have” cross lines that should have never been crossed as good as they might think doing this might be; it will prove to be disastrous.  Time is on God’s side, He has forever to prove Himself correct; yet there definitely will be a time, which I sense is very close, when He will, for the sake of His Name and things He has promised, like – “I will never again allow all flesh to perish on the earth” – for the sake of this promise and His Name sake, they will only be allowed to go so far, then see Him Intervene.  May God have mercy on their soul!

You see later in II Cor. 5:16 “wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.”  Paul was stressing...A NEW BEING, A NEW REALITY, WITH A NEW SENSE OF POWER.  He was attempting to get them beyond the divisions of this world view, the FLESH, and the world’s attempts, methods of dealing with it all.  We saw this earlier in Col. 2:20…“in promoting self-imposed rigor of devotion and delight in self-humiliation and severity of discipline of the body, but they are of no value in checking the indulgence of the flesh (the lower nature). Instead, they do not honor God but serve only to indulge the flesh.”

RELIGIOUS VIEW OF THIS MATTER

Let me reveal the religious views of these texts, then in the section that follows the view of these texts in light of the secular view and Transhumanism in particular.

Clearly, human efforts to deal with our dilemma are, according to scriptures, of NO VALUE. It only, as said above, serves only to indulge the flesh.  Other words, we, in our fleshly mentality, like to think and believe we can do things without God’s assistance.  So our participating in the world’s methods indulges this flesh.  You hear Paul saying this to the Galatians Christians which develops the I Cor. text all ready mentioned (I Cor. 7:18); he says to them,

Gal. 5: 2- “Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if you be circumcised, (issue of his day), Christ shall profit you NOTHING…Christ is become of NO EFFECT unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; you have fallen from grace.” (In other words, if the religious element of his day hung on to OLD METHODS to deal with the indulgences of the flesh, thus the law, what Christ had accomplished, our learning a new method, one of hearing daily from the Lord, would not come into play, and the REAL intend of the law, which was to bring us to this new method, would fail in its true purpose having Christ as the end of the law to gain favor with God.  If they sought this thing of circumcision, Christ’s method would become of no effect.

If we, turn to the world, secular or religious, to conquer this thing of our flesh, this new method Christ offered would not have any effect.  Oh, it would gratify the flesh, but not God. It would only give the “appearance” of righteousness, thus only “self-righteousness.”

 Paul goes on in Galatians chapter five to REVEAL this NEW METHOD: “For we THROUGH the Spirit, wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.  For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision avails anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which works by love.”  Paraphrased we could say this:  “For we, through the Spirit, wait for the hope of being delivered from any habit, be it smoking, drinking, etc. because to be honest, neither smoking or not smoking isn’t the real issue; it is to the world and its view, yet the real problem is deeper and only God can truly set us free. And if He sets us free, we will be free indeed.  Don’t let others distract you with such issues. Gal. 6:12 “As many desire to make a fair show in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised (or stop smoking, drinking etc.); only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. (Which says the problem is much deeper) For neither they themselves who are circumcised, (don’t smoke or drink etc.) keep the law; (the law was never given with the thought you could keep it.  It was to reveal a deeper problem in us, thus showing human efforts to solve this problem as IMPOSSIBLE) but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.” (“We got another one to join our non-smoking, drinking etc group; aren’t we good?)  All these are missing the point.  These petty issues are only means to avoid the real issue.  (Developed in my book, “Matters of Salvation.”)

You hear it in other verses of scripture like I Tim 4:7-8 “But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself rather unto godliness. (hearing from God).   For bodily exercise profits little; but godliness (hearing from God) is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation. (Other words, these thoughts were not Paul’s but were coming directly from the Lord, thus an example of what he taught..”Wait through the Spirit for righteousness” which is what Paul called a “faithful saying.”)

Going on, think of the many divisions we still have today and the conflicts that come from these divisions.  This view that Paul had come to experience would erase all these differences today.  Differences between male and female, White and black, Cultures and creeds....all gone with this view of God original intent; if not, we end up in what Paul says in Gal. 5:15 “But if you bite and devour one another, take heed that you be not consumed one of another.” (Smokers against non-smokers, drinkers against non-drinkers, Political Party against Political Party, race against race, culture against culture, creeds against creeds, etc.)

Now back to our opening thought:  “We are a spirit; we live in a body and express this spirit through a soul.”  You could have been called to express it as a male or a female.   You could have been called to express it as a slave.   You could have been called to express it as either married or not married.  You could have been called to express it either as an American or European.   You could have been called to express under one creed or another.  It didn’t matter.  But if you get hung up in these TEMPORAL roles, then it does matter.   As a matter of fact, it becomes an eternal matter with this temporal matter blocking the light to a world that so desperately is looking for an answer.  Yet we love our darkness, our divisions.  If we remain in these divisions in the way that we have, the only result with be the increase of DARKNESS. 

What is the answer??   STAY THE HELL OUT OF THESE BATTLES between male and female, cultures and creeds, races, smoking verse non-smoking etc.  Let the world argue.  Just don’t you get into its downward spiral.  Look upward.  Battle for that ground; and I mean it is a battle.  Listen to general conversation around you.  HEAR the divisions.  Look around you, watch the News, and SEE the divisions.  We inevitably breath it in to exhale again and get caught being in it and of it. 

That is why I say it is a battle.  The flesh that surrounds us is like dust of death...and the dust of death touches everything.  We need to keep our air hoses, as a friend of mine once said over and over again, out of this box where a dust storm is going on between the races and creeds, men and women.  Start breathing the fresh air that comes from OUT SIDE THIS BOX.

IN LIGHT OF THE SECULAR – PARTICULAR TRANSHUMANISM

This book, The Bible, wasn’t just written so religious folks could argue about it.  It really was meant to address the “CONDITION” the whole world, secular and religious find themselves.  Let me now bring out particularly how what appeared as just a religious issue, also addresses what is going on in the area of secular humanistic endeavors of Transhumanism.

They have for decades been seeking what God alone can offer; A NEW BEING, A REALITY, and A NEW POWER.  We both, religious and secular, know there definitely is something wrong with the way things are.  It’s never been a question of whether something is there, but – has it always been there, and has it always been the way that it is?  Evolution has its approach which in this generation I don’t have to spend time in this book to explain it, we have had it crammed into our minds from grade school and everything around us.  It has been their hope that evolution, in its slow process, would one day have us evolve out of any situation via the survival of the fittest.  We find today that science has grown impatient with Evolution, and now are seeking to speed things up and “direct evolution’s” arrow upwards, rather than what appears sometimes to be pointing downwards with mankind “waxing worst and worst, deceiving and being deceived” as scripture tells us.  We read above, in a religious view of our text, that they too are impatient and can’t “WAIT” through the Holy Spirit for any kind of solution.  Not waiting, even the religious fall into the matter of the flesh.  With those of the world, who don’t acknowledge such a thing as the Holy Spirit, they might look to “alien” advanced civilizations in hope of an answer.  Today they are seeking “any type” of contact, looking to cross dimensional gate ways to parallel worlds if need be.  You don’t believe this?  Just do a search on the web if you don’t.  So-called reliable educated College Professors and Government/Military leaders have joined into the search; which is nothing more than a “willful” act of defiance of human pride against the fact of a God of Intelligence; who has clearly revealed to this generation via the creation around them that there is Intelligent Design, if only they would open their eyes and listen with their ears.  Instead of acknowledging God as this intelligence they see, they call it alien, or spiritual unseen guides with some given them names.  Little do they know that what they have contacted is nothing more the demonic entities giving them what they desire, THE LIE.

CONCLUDING THOUGHTS

To those Religious:

 Let me see if I can bring what you just read into focus where it can relate to you in your experience today in our age.  As you came to know the Lord, so remain, unless opportunity offers itself.  When I came to know the Lord I smoked cigarettes.  In the religious crowd this was frowned upon, so to “please” them, I struggled to quit.  Well I did for 10 years, yet became self-righteous doing so.  To make a long story short, I was told to smoke again and have done so ever sense.  Now I could take up the old cause again and “FOCUS” on quitting once again, which for me would be a distraction.  What I had been ordered to do was “Don’t focus on quitting; let it go, the opportunity sent by the Lord will take care of this.  More important matters are at stake; stay focused on these matters and not quitting cigarettes.” (September 6, 2009)

THIS IS WHAT PAUL WAS SAYING!!  Don’t get distracted fighting sins like cigarettes, being overweight, drinking, cussing, and a thousand other things like this, or the male verses female issue of Paul’s day.  The world, both secular and religious, sees these things as more important than the HIGHER things Paul was reaching for.  He refused to be distracted by such silly things. You can make up your own minds up on this.  As for me, I’m reaching for the HIGHER things that Paul the Apostle sought.  Finding these higher things would take care of these LOWER matters in God’s good time.  (Matt. 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and ALL THESE THINGS shall be added unto you.)

I have seen this happen time and time again lately; I would be into some real deep subject matter and along comes these distractions of worrying about my weight, quitting cigarettes or something else.  I than would lose focus fighting these matters, thus whatever it was I was in hot pursuit of would vanish.   Just observe this in your own life.  When I am into these studies I lose weight without effort and smoke less.  When I get distracted, I gain weight without even trying, and try as I may to lose it, it just doesn’t come off.   So, take the warning, STAY FOCUSED ON WHAT THE LORD WANTS at any given moment and put a “CHECK” on these little distracting thoughts. Just ask Him and He will advice you where, when and how to get rid of these small matters.

To those secular/Transhumanists:

Many of you are using the excuse to promote your agenda (like Agenda 21) all in the name of the betterment of humanity.  Also you are creating the excuse of Global Warming, National Security, and a variety of created false flags to hide what you are doing in your research laboratories behind closed doors, all in the name that it is for our own good that you do what you have to do.  You have been willing to cross all lines; in science, politics, law, morals and ethics,  to achieve your utopian dream of a superman in a man-made world, recreated after your image; post-human.  In doing so you have not only violated things God has established; you have also violated your own ideas of evolution, seeking to redirect it into doing something it naturally has never done, thus throwing off the balance of nature pointing it into a direction that you feel will point upwards, when in time you will discover that it is heading downward at a rapid speed once set into motion.  You will find out that it will take on a life of its own; a life masked hiding its true nature of DEATH.  You will watch and come to understand why boundaries were set, never to be crossed or opened as a gate.  The old saying will come to be, “Curiosity killed the cat.”  You don’t have nine lives even if you cross breed thinking to obtain longevity of life.  You will find that you only had one life, and you squandered it by rejecting the warnings God, He Himself gave to you out of His love for you.

Let me end this chapter which went in a surprising direction other then what I had thought it would go. I have learned some things from it and hope you have done the same; stick to things that matter.
