CHAPTER 6

AWAKING TO OUR RICHES IN GLORY

This chapter only scratches the surface of what I have seen and have expressed in a variety of ways over time and my hashing this over and over, more and more.  So, don’t think that this is the sum total of all that I’ve seen and am beginning to experience.  For now, ponder these words:  “We are commanded to awake out of sleep?  The question is, "asleep to what?"  I would adventure to say that we are asleep to a realm that is more real then this experience we all are going through and is IN US.    We are in this Adamic nightmare unaware of anything other than that which we are presently experiencing.   We have grown so immune to it all, to the point that to think there isn’t anything outside this experience, which is there and has done all it could do to assist us in this experience and has placed in us this very assistance we need, CHRIST IN US, THE HOPE OF GLORY.   Let me see if I can get you to see what I have seen.

It is written that He would meet all our NEEDS in this experience yet not according to this world’s ideas of meeting these needs.  It goes on to say "According to"....according to what?  It goes on to say, “His riches in glory.”  Think for the moment beyond our ideas of heaven’s store house or any money ideas, and reflect on the word GLORY.  Think, what is this matter of THE RICHES IN GLORY?   To begin to see this, link your reasoning processes to these words,  “The mystery, Christ in you, the HOPE of GLORY."   His riches are IN THIS GLORY, and it is presently IN YOU, and you aren’t to wait until the sweet bye and bye to make us of it.      Remember it says that this matter of HOPE is not in the seen or this experience only.  To gain this Unseen hope coming from this thing of Glory, we must come to experience hopelessness in our attempts to meet our needs.  Seeing this you can see where God is not being mean to us when He frustrates our human efforts; He is simply attempting to get us to realize what His Son had accomplished. You also can begin to understand what Paul was seeing the day when he wrote, “I glory in tribulations.”  It was in the mist of his trials and tribulations that this mystery was discovered; this mystery of what God had accomplished and placed in us, the LOST GLORY of Adam.

THE INWARD CLOTHING

Let me now show you how to “put on” the New Man - Christ in us.  For me to reveal this, I have to regress to the where this Glory was lost through the fall of Adam.  God had clothed Adam and Eve in Glory to the point their nakedness could not be seen.  What is this matter of being “clothed” in Glory?   It was an inward matter and not an external matter; their God given ability to handle any situation that they would confront in this experience.  You see Paul expressing it in this fashion – “Put on Christ”- “Put on the NEW MAN.”  Wuest really expresses it in his Expanded Greek Translation of the Bible…”Stop putting on an outward expression of that which you aren’t inside”; in other words he was telling his readers that this GLORY was inside them, once hidden, now being revealed.  So he is begging them to put it on, that which was inside them; something that they had not known

Paul goes on to say that the sufferings of this life can not be compared to the GLORY that will be manifested in us.  Many see this manifestation coming in the sweet bye and bye not realizing that it was to be manifested now in us.    It gets beyond just the empty religious expression you hear when they scream “Glory, Glory, Glory” in a church service.  It use to make me mad…I wanted to scream back, “YES, you got the word right, but where is its power??”  Well, as Paul, I have found, what they only express, to be “Christ in me, the GLORY – the anointing,”  to mean its availability to us here and now.

GLORY IN TRIBULATIONS

Let me give you my personal experience and paraphrase of Romans chapter five which brings out what I have said so far:

“I glory in my tribulations because “Christ” (the anointing) God’s power won for me through Jesus’ accomplishment is manifested in my hopeless, helpless moments.  Knowing this, I can persevere in my weakness; I can wait, thus also know that Christ is in me my hope of glory, power and strength.  I know this Christ in me isn’t a little Jesus or a baby Jesus in me as some have thought.  It is the SAME CHRIST which was in Jesus as a son of man. 

It is May, 2011, and as I edit this book getting the chapters in some kind of order, I saw what has taken me some 46 years to clearly see.  I’ll say it in a simple phrase, yet its depth will come out in what follows in this chapter.  Here is that phrase…”The World is robbing God of His Glory.”  This is the cause of all that has occurred recently over the last two years, 2010-2011.  Just my saying this doesn’t hit it.  So follow what I am about to share with you and without a doubt I know you will agree.

ROBBING GOD OF HIS GLORY

We have established that the mystery that Paul the Apostle revealed was that “Christ is in us, the hope of glory.”  He also in his writings revealed how this glory was not just in the religious world but also in the Gentile world, to which he was called to minister to.  God’s rain truly did fall on the just and the unjust.  Sadly most of those that qualify as the just are missing what has occurred.   You see the world making full use of this “Christ in us, the hope of Glory” yet in doing so DO NOT GIVE GOD THE CREDIT OR GLORY.  You can use all that Christ has won for you, Christ slain before the foundations of the world, JUST DO NOT ROB HIM OF THAT GLORY DUE TO HIM for what it took for Him to accomplish this, Christ in you.  When humanity, unaware, taps into this and attributes this power to humanity excluding God, even to the point of denying Him as creator; GOD BEGINS TO ACT!  We are living in a Nation and now a World that has slowly cut God out of the picture, not only in the secular world but also in the religious world.  The more we deny God His Glory, the more He will withdraw His power to the point where things will be where they are today.  You hear it lately in head lines News, “We don’t know the cause of it all any more?”   

So as I was editing my book tonight I got this strong warning I have to share with all of you.  I don't give this out to scare you but rather to let you know we need not fear because we have IN US....Christ in us, the hope of GLORY.  

Put aside any idea that you might have of this matter of Christ in you the hope of glory.  In this chapter I will share with you how to "PUT ON" this Christ that is in us, as we are commanded to do.  Consider the warning I was given tonight editing this book....it comes from Jeremiah 13:16

"Give GLORY to the Lord your God before he brings the darkness, before you feet stumble on the darkening hills.  You HOPE for light, but He will turn it to thick darkness and change it to deep gloom.  But if you do not listen, I will weep in secret because of your pride; my eyes will weep bitterly, overflowing with tears, because the Lord's flock will be taken captive."

Consider this text from I Thess. 5:4-5

"But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief.  You are sons of the light and sons of the day.  We do not belong to the night or to the darkness."

What is happening within the last two years in this nation and world wide has a lot to do with this matter of not giving God the glory; and my just saying this sounds like just a stupid religious expression....IT ISN'T.  I had asked and was told this, after viewing world news etc over the last few years and weeks; I was told that this is what's happening. 

AGAIN I SAY....this should not frighten you; that is if you take the warning with this understanding that Christ is in you, the hope of glory and glorify Christ in the Earth.   "IF" we don't discover and come to experience this Christ in us, our hope of glory, we will not survive what is coming.  To do this we must get pass our limited ideas of this very thought of Christ in us, our hope of glory.  All that is coming will be addressed by you knowing and experiencing this matter of Christ in you, the hope of glory;  knowing this YOU WILL HAVE NO FEAR of those things soon to come upon this nation and this world, you will have available to you all the resources to deal with whatever is to come.

Start ASKING the Holy Spirit what it means that Christ is in us, the hope of glory.   Let me assist you with some quick thoughts to ponder....

We glory in tribulations

II Cor. 1:5

"For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort over flows.

(Notice.....sufferings first, then comes the flow of comfort....weakness, then comes strength.)

Heb, 5:8

"Though He was a son, He learned obedience from what He suffered."

Let me now share some insights I got off reading Romans chapter five over and over in light of our current situation in this world today:

“I glory in my tribulations because “Christ”, the anointing, God’s power won for me through Jesus’ accomplishment; it is this that is manifested in my helpless, hopeless, moments.  My knowing this, I can persevere in my weakness.  I can “wait”, thus know that Christ is in me, my hope of glory, power.  Waiting I come to experience this manifestation of God’s power to and through my weakness.  This HOPE, coming from beyond my weakness, comes through me and I am not  made to feel ashamed, hindered, hampered because of my feelings, but the Love of God, His power His deliverance is shed through my heart, my surrendering my unconscious troubled mind or heart.  It’s this power, the energy of God’s love that constrains me to wait and not consider any other way.  Thus I come to this reasonable conclusion of “MY WEAKNESS, HIS STRENGTH.”  So, the life I live now, I don’t live by my power, which has been revealed to be weakness; I no longer frustrate this power by trying other methods.  It’s always been my weakness, His strength which ends in HIS GLORY and not my own.

This “Christ” in me, this hope of Glory is manifested by God the Son planting a “WORD” in me; something Paul expressed, “I live by the faith (implanted word) of the Son of God, this Christ in me being the channel by which I receive this word;” a word that saves me, heals me, delivers me, and those around me.  It is “HE” that is able to KEEP what was promised, committed to me against any problem that would arise in and around me.  I surrender to His keeping of my soul and body via my spirit in tune with His Spirit, the Holy Spirit.  I confess my weakness of considering other ways and turn from these ways expecting that through this tribulation of my weakness, Christ in me, His glory and power is revealed.  Thus I GLORY in my moments of tribulation, other words, I see power that has always been there as a mystery waiting to be manifested.  In this world I was told that I would have tribulations, but I was promised that HE over came the world.  He did this by placing in me this HOPE OF GLORY; this over coming power thus conquering my weakness.  Apart from Him I was unable to do any thing, but now through what He GAVE TO ME, Christ in me, I can do all things.

That was one way of seeing this.  What follows expanded on this, though it appears repetitious….

“At my moments of weakness I am crucified, weak; never the less, beyond what I might think or feel in those moments, I can live; yet it couldn’t be me, I am shown to be weak.  So I’ve come to experience that this life which I speak of comes via the implanted word mentioned above…”and the life I now live, I live through the faith, this implanted word given to me in my moments of weakness.”  This implanted word is my salvation, my deliverance, which no other method could do.  I’ve learned to “Wait for this word to come to me…”We wait through the Spirit for righteousness.”

Why just a single word?  In our feelings and thoughts of weakness, there isn’t enough room left.  Yet understand, “ONE WORD” from God explodes all these feelings and thoughts of weakness.  One word subdues my weakness and manifests His strength.  Wait for this word! Don’t look for sentences or paragraphs.  Through this CHRIST IN YOU, this single word will develop into sentences then paragraphs if that is what you need to address a problem or situation. 

I have been told that what I have attempted to express in the last few paragraphs is really something that can not be expressed in just words, it must be experienced.  If you have not experience it by now, you soon will.  You are presently in a moment when there still is some light; light that could have assisted you in your present life here and that which is SUDDENLY UPON US.

When Jesus, the Son of God, came to them, they wanted to silence His followers, and He said to them, if you silence them the “ROCKS” will scream out!”  Today they desire to silence His followers, right or wrong; and because this is being done, THE EARTH will start the screaming and the HEAVENS will follow.  We can not do what we are doing, ROBBING GOD OF GLORY DUE HIM, without expecting someone or something SCREAMING OUT to the Glory of God.  If this does not stir you to start asking, seeking and knock to discover CHRIST IN YOU, the only hope of gaining that which you will need in our current situation, then nothing I might say further on this matter will.  I wished I could have said what I have just shared in this chapter in a fuller explanation; time does not allow this.  If you have not done that which was needed, it is my prayer, that the time allowed us, you might gain that which I know we will need in the coming year ahead.  I could say, “God help us all,” but I won’t because I know He has done all that He could have possibly done…”placing CHRIST IN US, THE HOPE OF GLORY.  I don’t want nor do I desire to have the eyes of a cat; nor do I need to run as a cheetah; I don’t need to have my DNA mixed with the animals or have implanted chips into my brain to increase its retention ability; I am not a machine created of men, but a son of Christ seeking to swallow up death, thus sustaining this life through hearing from the son of God through the Holy Spirit who has quickened my human spirit.   It is this view, this perspective of things, that would have you do the things He did and greater should ever God need these things manifested to HIS GLORY and for HIS NAME SAKE which assures that He will keep His promises; “in that He could not sware by anyone higher, He swore by HIS OWN NAME, that He will keep His promises.  I can become unfaithful at times, yet He can never be unfaithful because His name is at stake….”though I am unfaithful, He remains faithful, for He CAN NOT DENY HIMSELF.  If He ever did, NOTHING would exist!

It says it over and over that the FLESH cannot be improved upon.  The flesh will always be the flesh and the spirit the spirit.    The flesh is sown corruptible, yet is reaped incorruptible (by the grace and mercy of God, this Incorruptible Seed in us swallows up the corruptible. Unless a kernel of wheat falls into the ground and DIES, it abides alone.  This flesh is the outward husk of the wheat; in this husk is the implanted SEED.
